Pepsi is honoring Jeff Gordon and their 18-year working relationship with a video that will air in advance of the Phoenix race on Nov. 15.
Pepsi worked with Gordon on the video during a taping at Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte. It features Gordon's iconic No. 24 Pepsi car.
The video launched Oct. 15 and was shot at Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, N.C.
In a season filled with honors and celebrations of his career, Gordon will receive one in 2015's penultimate race. Phoenix will rename its track Jeff Gordon Raceway for the day's Sprint Cup event.
Gordon will drive a Pepsi-branded car at Phoenix. It's an association that began in 1996. There were other sponsors over the years, but Pepsi is making sure Gordon goes out one more time in its colors before his career ends.
The Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 at Phoenix runs on Nov. 15. If Gordon makes the cut he will compete for the Sprint Cup championship in the season finale at Homestead-Miami.
Gordon remains alive in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, which continues Sunday at Kansas. He was a contender last year until failing to make the final four. While Gordon has not won in 2015, he is a four-time Cup champion with 92 victories in NASCAR's signature series.
